Furniture fittings manufacturer Hettich has recruited 78 apprentices who have started their training this summer at the company’s Kirchlengern, Balingen, Berlin and Frankenberg sites in Germany.

The trainees will be deployed across 14 technical and commercial functions, where they will “study and learn from trained colleagues”, Hettich said, adding that the application phase for the 2020 training spots has already started.

“We are proud to have brought 13 female junior staff on board this year,” said Hettich training head Dirk Bartz. “The number of female trainees, especially in the technical field, continues to rise.”
