Bathroom manufacturer Vitra has expanded its UK sales team with the appointment of Darren Bailey as its new area sales manager for the Midlands.

In his new role, Bailey will be responsible for Vitra’s bathroom and Signature portfolios. He has had a “long career” in the bathroom industry, Vitra said, having spent 15 years as a showroom manager.

He also previously worked at Davroc as a business development manager. “I have always wanted to work for Vitra,” Bailey said.

“The company has the entire bathroom covered under one roof. Understanding the retail perspective will allow me to strengthen relationships with our existing retail partners whilst establishing important partnerships with new ones.”

He added: “There are so many exciting innovations planned for 2020, I am delighted to be part of Vitra’s continued growth.”

Vitra national sales manager Darren Paxford said: “Darren is well known and respected in the bathroom industry. His undoubted experience and reputation will be a real asset to our expanding team.”
