AO forms new logistics partnership with Aldi

Online electricals retailer AO has formed a new logistics partnership with supermarket chain Aldi to begin delivering Specialbuys products that require home delivery, ordered online by the supermarket’s customers.

The three-year partnership will see AO provide its services for large products such as barbecues, patio furniture and sports equipment that require two-person home delivery. AO said Aldi customers will “benefit from the range of services” it offers including increased weekend delivery options.

“We are extremely proud of the award-winning logistics capability we have built here at AO,” said AO Logistics managing director David Ashwell. “There’s no better stamp of approval than other retailers, like Aldi, wanting to partner with us to help them deliver exceptional service to their customers.”

Aldi national IT managing director David Barter added: “Our online Specialbuys are going from strength to strength, and this partnership with AO will allow us to offer customers even more options for our larger products that require home delivery.”
