The BiKBBI has initiated its COVID-19 contingency plan, which will see the temporary closure of its offices and the closure of its telephone lines ‘for the foreseeable future.’

Damian Walters

In the statement announcing the initiation of its emergency plan, Damian Walters, BiKBBI CEO, also announced that the organisation will continue to communicate weekly with members, helping them to access the promised support from the government. He confirmed that the BiKBBI will link its members to the grants, small business loans and commercial support that the Prime Minister laid out this week, and committed to providing regular updates on its website, for members.

In his statement, Walters also released a COVID-19 advice video, which urges that members who must continue to work contact customers on a daily basis before entering their property, to confirm that nobody in the property has tested positive for COVID-19 or is self-isolating.

He added that work should not start or continue in the event that COVID-19 is, or expected to be present.
