Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd (CIH), an electrical buying group and part of Euronics, has raised over £20,000 for charity at two of its recent member and supplier events. The funds were raised in an auction held during a tropical island themed gala dinner, on the final evening of the 2019 Euronics business conference.
A number of suppliers donated items and experiences to be auctioned, including a smart watch and a trip for two to Barcelona, in order to raise the money that will go to the Grand Bahama Disaster Relief Foundation. The foundation supports those affected by Hurricane Dorian.

At the Euronics golf day, held on 25th September, a ‘beat the pro’ competition saw a further donation of £350 to the Grand Bahama Disaster Relief Foundation, while a prize draw to win a brand-new television, raised over £300 for Mind, the mental-health charity.
Stuart Cook, CEO, CIH says: “At CIH we believe it is so important to help others and we are delighted with the amounts raised for the charities. We extend our utmost gratitude to the suppliers who kindly donated items and the bidders for the success of the auction. We hope the donations to both charities continue to support those in need and we strive to continue raising vital funds for charitable causes in the future.”
