Cosentino’s ultra-compact surface brand Dekton has been chosen for the interiors of the Pilsa Educa hospitality training centre in Grenada, Spain which provides training for professional and amateur chefs, led by Malaga-born chef Carlos Caballero.
More than 330sq m of Dekton has been used for flooring, worktops and desk cladding in the facility. “We chose Dekton by Cosentino because it can be used in a number of spaces thanks to its variety of designs, durability and versatility,” said Pilsa Educa CEO Javier López Bolivar.

The industrial-inspired space features exposed metal structures and brick walls, with Dekton’s Trilium surface from its Industrial Collection chosen for the flooring, worktops and island cladding of the facility’s classrooms and teaching areas, as well as the on-site restaurant.
The training centre’s reception area – which has an “intense green” grass feature wall – has made use of Dekton’s marble-inspired Aura surface, which is used on the floor and reception desk, as well as being featured in one of the centre’s classrooms.
“Dekton has an advantage over other materials due to its design and finish and we could not have achieved our desired look with any other product,” Bolivar said. “It must also be said that Dekton is ideal for culinary facilities like this as it requires very little maintenance.”
