MHK Group, a German buying and marketing group for owner-managed kitchen retailers, has entered the UK market and began working with their first kitchen dealers at the start of the year.

According to the buying group – which will be attending KBB Birmingham in March for the first time – it supports its members with “an extensive range of services related to marketing, the internet and business management”.

The group has appointed Paul Wheeler, pictured left, as its new sales director, with Wheeler most recently working as a consultant for franchise kitchen systems in the UK. He was previously regional director and then managing director of Alno USA, having worked in the kitchen industry for 11 years.

“Our goal is to strengthen the performance of specialist shops and to increase their return on investment,” said MHK expansion managing director Marcel Crezee, right. “We are convinced that we can provide important support to companies in the UK and ensure that returns increase.”

MHK Group is active in eight countries, namely its domestic market of Germany as well as Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and now the UK. It has more than 2,600 companies, with a combined turnover of €5bn, as members.
