Grohe names Thomas Fuhr as new CEO

Grohe AG has named former executive operations director Thomas Fuhr, pictured left, as its new CEO, while chief sales officer Jonas Brennwald, right, has been appointed deputy CEO, as well as CEO of Lixil Water Technology EMENA.
Fuhr is replacing Michael Rauterkus – who was also CEO of Lixil Water Technology EMENA – in the role following Rauterkus’s resignation after 12 years at the company. Rauterkus became CEO in 2015, having previously held chief sales officer and Europe president roles.

“We would like to thank Michael Rauterkus for his great commitment, which is the basis for Grohe’s innovative power and steady success,” said Lixil International CEO Bijoy Mohan. “Under his leadership, Grohe has become a global market leader in this industry.”
Fuhr has been executive operations director at Grohe AG since 2013. “Grohe can look back on an outstanding growth path,” Mohan said. “We are now adapting our organizational structure to ensure continuous growth in the EMENA region.
“I am very pleased to announce Thomas Fuhr as the new CEO of Grohe. He is an experienced and successful leader in operations and technology and will help drive the integration of Grohe’s manufacturing and technology assets into the global Lixil footprint.”
