A total of 20 Hotpoint appliances have recently been recognised by Quiet Mark, the independent, international awards programme which encourages manufacturers to prioritise noise reduction in appliance design.

The accreditation, which has been designed to allow consumers to make a more informed choice about the products they buy and how appliance noise can impact wellbeing, was awarded to eight Hotpoint dishwashers, as well as 10 Hotpoint fridge freezers and two ActiveCare tumble dryers.

Hotpoint’s freestanding dishwasher was awarded a ‘super silent’ noise level award, meaning it only produces a faint noise that can be likened to the sounds in a quiet room and quieter than moderate rainfall.

Catherine Balderson, Senior Hotpoint Brand Manager, says: “Appliances from Hotpoint deliver outstanding performance, in addition to benefitting from the latest intelligent technology and functional stylish design. We value the importance of having a peaceful home and appreciate that operational noises from appliances can disturb everyday life.

“We encourage consumers to look out for the Quiet Mark logo when purchasing a new appliance, so they can be confident that their new appliance won’t interrupt daily life.”
