JP Distribution ceases trading and appoints administrators
MD says he hopes a buyer can be found for 40-year-old Yorkshire firm

JP Distribution, one of the UK’s leading distributors of kitchen and bathroom products, has appointed administrators.
The Yorkshire-based firm, with headquarters in Dewsbury, had struggled to secure a needed cash injection in the face of the lockdown trading landscape.
Joint administrators Francis Graham Newton and Simon Edward Jex Girling were appointed this week. They have now been tasked with either finding a buyer to rescue the company or selling off its remaining assets.
Speaking to KBBDaily, JP Distribution MD Graham Bucktrout said he was ‘hoping a buyer comes forward’. Potential buyers can get in touch by emailing JPDIPComms@bdo.co.uk.

Founded in 1980 as Clovenorth, the company established a firm presence in the North of England, before growing its retail network to emerge as a national distributor in the early 2010s.
However, as with many firms, the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting restrictions have had a severe impact on the company’s financial stability.
