Steel enamel bathroom product manufacturer Kaldewei has collaborated with designer Bim Burton for a sustainable furniture project, ‘From Inside to Out’, for designjunction, taking place on the 19th-22nd September.

Furniture maker and designer Burton has worked with Kaldewei to create a series of recyclable, sustainable bath chairs, pictured, in three different styles, which will be showcased within designjunction’s installations area at Lewis Cubitt Park at Kings Cross.
One of the three bath chair designs used a recycled steel enamel bath from Kaldewei. “Kaldewei were very generous in providing me with the chance to realise my design idea of turning baths into chairs – to reuse baths as seating,” said Burton.
“Kaldewei provided their steel enamel baths for me to cut and workout different ways to use the parts as chairs. I turned them up, sideways, and discovered how many variations I could make. I am very grateful for them trusting me and my imagination and I am looking forward to being able to show the results at designjunction.”
