Kitchen fitters deemed ‘most unprofessional’ tradespeople in recent survey
The UK economy missed out on £6 billion a year because Brits ‘fear shoddy tradespeople’

Kitchen fitters have been named as the most unprofessional tradespeople in a recent survey conducted by bathroom and shower specialists Showers To You.
The survey took place in response to statistics from the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) which concluded that the UK economy misses out on over £6 billion a year because the British public fear they might hire ‘shoddy’ tradespeople. The survey found that 73% of the 1664 Brits surveyed deemed kitchen fitters as the most unprofessional tradespeople, whilst 69% felt tilers are unprofessional and 65% thought the same about builders.

The Managing Director of Showers To You commented on the survey results, saying: “For many, the home is one of the most important aspects of their life. So naturally it takes a lot of faith for them to allow tradespeople to come into their living environment and carry out desired improvements/changes.
“This research certainly shows that this trust is not always being reciprocated, with certain tradespeople more culpable than others. It certainly shows that Brits are very perceptive of the way tradespeople hold themselves as well as their work ethic. Consequently, it’s very important for a tradesperson to maintain professionalism at all times and deliver the highest possible level of customer service” he concluded.
