The globally recognised award for low noise technology is only given to the quietest 20% of appliances in their category across a wide range of domestic and commercial sectors, including refrigeration, dishwashing, laundry and kitchen extraction in the kitchen category.

Belling has been awarded the Quiet Mark for all 14 of its chimney cooker hoods in the Farmhouse and Cookcentre collections, including 90, 100 and 110cm products.

Lec has received the award for four of its 50 and 55cm undercounter refrigerators, a 50cm tabletop freezer and four 50 and 55cm undercounter freezers.

Steve Dickson, Head of Product Marketing at Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, the parent company of Lec and Belling, said: ‘Research carried out by Quiet Mark found that 76% of UK consumers would be more likely to buy an appliance labelled as quiet over another with the same performance, so to have the award given to so many of our products is a real boost.

‘The kitchen appliance sector is very competitive so this will really help both Lec and Beling to standout to consumers who are looking for discreet products to fit their open plan living spaces.’
