Pland Stainless staff raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association
The staff are cycling to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association

A team of employees from Pland Stainless, a UK stainless steel manufacturer, have taken part in a cycle relay to raise £1200 for charity.
As part of the event, 42 staff members covered 130 miles on a static bike to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a charity which improves care for those suffering with the debilitating illness.

The cycle race took place after being prompted by Gary Pearson, Internal Sales Manager at Pland, whose mother-in-law is currently living with the nerve-attacking disease.
It was broadcast live on Pland’s Facebook page, with employees from the company, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, cycling while linked to a virtual reality track, meaning they could cycle the exact same course, complete with imagery and inclines, as the Road World Championship Cycle Race 2019.
