Scottish wall panel and worktop manufacturer Rearo Laminates has invested £200,000 in the expansion of its Govan headquarters, adding 2,000sq ft to the space as well as potentially creating 10 new jobs with the company.
The new space houses Rearo’s new marketing suite and sampling centre, as well as staff facilities and an expanded transport office. According to the company, expansion links Rearo’s existing 69,000sq ft manufacturing and quality control facility with its fulfilment centre.
“Increasing online sales and demands, as well as significant contract wins in the hotel, restaurant and social housing sectors, meant improving the flow of our products was essential,” said Rearo managing director Graham Mercer, pictured.
“Rearo continues to grow across the UK. We have moved into larger premises in Newcastle to meet demand, and we’re opening a new distribution hub in Northampton to enhance our reach into the south of England.”
Mercer added: “Our product lines continue to expand: our hero product Selkie will soon become available online, and Buhne and Lifeshield ranges were recently introduced for commercial customers. We have significant plans for Rearo in the coming year and the new facility in Glasgow will play a key role in helping us achieve them.”
