Winchester-based kitchen studio, Searle & Taylor, has won The Used Kitchen Company’s ‘Greatest Green Showroom’ Award, 2019, having recycled more of its ex-display kitchens than any other of TUKC’s showroom partners during the year.

The new award, which was created in order to support and encourage a circular economy within the kitchen sector, aims to increase the total volume of ex-displays recycled by showrooms, whether they are existing recyclers or new to the concept. It helps TUKC add to the 14,000 tonnes of unnecessary kitchen waste it has saved from landfill since its foundation in 2005.

TUKC’s CEO, Looeeze Grossman, says: “We are delighted to name Searle & Taylor as the much-deserved winner of The Used Kitchen Company’s ‘Greatest Green Showroom’ Award 2019’.

“One-third of consumers prefer to buy from brands creating positive environmental and social impacts, so our award should enable the Searle & Taylor team to showcase its green credentials and align its business with the vision and principles of eco-conscious customers.”

It has been a pleasure to partner with the friendly, proactive and knowledgeable team at TUKC, when selling our ex-display kitchens.”
