'Utilising a sleek, spacious and contemporary new platform, paralleling Smeg’s corporate identity, the site starts off classically monochrome, before breaking out to sections bursting with colour and lifestyle imagery,' a press release by the Italian appliance brand explained.

'The new re-platform covers all bases, from interior design and layout inspiration to articles about co-ordinating with colour as well as all-new buying guides designed to help navigate the range’s product features with ease. There’s also a magazine style news feed, recipe content as well as project case studies and interviews with designers and developers.'

The site focuses on three main navigation pillars, enabling users to search by ‘product’, ‘aesthetic’, or simply seek ‘inspiration’.

New product filters and comparison tools allow users to compare up to three products head to head, or compare differences only. Product and category pages now come with new ‘highlights’ content, auto-playing videos and animation, all with the aim of explaining key features.

The new site offers tools for designers too including access to 3D images, technical drawings and manuals, while the stockist finder has also been renovated for users’ convenience, allowing visitors to search based on their purchasing needs and preferences.
