Worcester Bosch meets CCC to discuss water decarbonisation
The company showed CCC CEO Chris Stark, pictured left, the prototype for its new 100% hydrogen boiler

Boiler manufacturer Worcester Bosch recently held a meeting with Chris Stark, pictured left, the CEO of the Committee on Climate Change – CCC – to discuss the decarbonisation of heating and hot water as the Government announced its commitment to net-zero carbon in the UK by 2050.
Stark was given a tour of the Worcester Bosch headquarters, where he became one of the first people in the UK to see “the UK’s first fully functional hydrogen boiler”, which runs on 100% hydrogen gas. Worcester Bosch will be officially revealing the prototype at an event later this year.

“It is excellent to see organisations and bodies such as the CCC directly connecting with big heating companies to discuss decarbonisation,” said Worcester Bosch technical communication and product management director Martyn Bridges.
“Now there is a confirmed commitment on net-zero, it is the responsibility of all of us in the heating sector to contribute fully. We believe hydrogen has a major part to play so we are happy to have been able to show Chris what our research and development has produced.”
