Smeg UK welcomes new independent retail head

Smeg UK has appointed Kris Horley as its new head of independent retail, which the company is calling a “major hire” for 2019.

Horley has more than 25 years of experience in sales roles within the industry. In his new position, he will be responsible for development of Smeg’s independent retail channel, which the company calls a “key focus” for this year.

He will head up the management of the independent field sales team with overall responsible for both the Combined Independents (Holdings) and Sirius buying groups.

“We’re delighted to announce the arrival of Kris to further strengthen our independent offering,” said Smeg UK sales director Paul Barker. “For Smeg, independent electrical retail is a key cornerstone of our business and Kris will be instrumental in helping develop this further.”
